Fresh air and a decent view can do wonders for your perspective.

NBRHD started with a simple thought: there must be a better way to connect brands with people, run an agency and make brilliant work without everyone losing the plot. Technology gives us the chance to do just that. Used properly, it removes the unnecessary faff and levels the playing field for ambitious brands and founders, creating room for bigger thinking, bolder experiments and standout creative ideas without needing the budget or headcount of a global giant. That freedom extends to the people doing the work, too: where, when and how they do it. Good ideas don’t need a city postcode. Some space, a bit of fresh air and a decent view can do wonders for your perspective.

Oh, why NBRHD? Because you can’t get close to people from a distance. You’ve got to get your boots on the ground, knock on a few doors and find out what’s actually going on. Leave your assumptions and your ego at the door. Listen properly. That’s where you find the spark for ideas that make people stop, feel something and tell their mates. Our northern roots bring a certain straightforwardness to proceedings, too. There’s already enough noise in the industry. We’d rather let our work and our partners do the talking.

Between us, we’ve worked across startups, brand building, digital innovation and performance media, alongside some of the best brands and agencies around. We’ve borrowed the best bits and stepped back far enough to spot the gaps that were hiding in plain sight. NBRHD brings that experience together with the freedom to do things differently: understand the real problem, find a standout creative idea and make it happen. It might be a campaign, a platform, a product or something nobody’s thought to name yet. Whatever its shape, it should connect with people and move the brand forward. We call this brand engineering.
